I spent all day on the sewing machine, to get 4 covers made. I have baby blankets to make next!
The dirty and dead, old black fender covers on the dock. They are trash bound. I wont even bother cleaning them, as there are too many holes in them.
Our new fender has a new cover. The rope chafe guard is one I made a year ago. It is a bit too complex and takes too long to attach, so I have simplified the design. I have eliminated the Velcro on the newer models and added more ties.
One of the red fenders is on the front of the boat, hence the gap, here. Look at that still water, in the canal:) Lovely and sunny and cooler today, thank goodness. It has been pretty humid of late, but we welcome a week of high 60's coming up.
This is one of the new chafe guards. Simple to make and simple to apply, and it doesn't move!
Two blue ball fender covers, and three blue roll fender covers, along with three smaller red fender covers..done!
I have blue fabric to make covers for the canvas cushions on the outdoor furnishings next. First, I have some baby receiving blankets to make first. My middle son and his partner are expecting their first child (a son) in Feb, and I have volunteered to make a few things for them.
I will be sure to show the finished things:)
So, you can see that our days have been fairly busy, right?
Strangely, our days are always busy. No such thing as down time, around here. Thank goodness we have the car, too. Waz went with Len to pick up some Perspex, on the weekend, and deliver it to Len's offices in Cape Haze and Burnt Store. We had brought our two sheets of Perspex home on Thursday. Waz cut them in half so that we could put them on the boat in case of rain. They have a protective paper over them, and we didn't want that to get wet.
He is replacing all the Perspex on the fly deck, as we can hardly see through the screens that are there. We found this to be a distinct handicap, on the Loop.
He has also been down in the engine room, bringing pieces of the Genset up to sand, scrub and repaint, before going back down to reposition them. This is time consuming, of course. It is also hot down below.
We each have our list of To Do's, but sometimes they converge.
I also took the curtains off the back (cockpit deck) and scrubbed them clean, Laying them out on the dock and using some muscles that hadn't been used for a while!!! yes, I felt them afterwards, lol.
I have been cleaning the boat of non-essentials, and taking some photos of the inside.
The master suite. There is a mirror behind the pillows, but all the surfaces are shiny, and reflect light, as you can see.
The lovely inlaid wood panels are on all the doors. This door leads to the en-suite bathroom (Head)
I love the ceiling in our bedroom.
This photo shows the door at left, which leads up stairs to the salon. The small library cupboard has more storage below. Plenty of storage!!

More storage (closet)
We have a custom mattress covered by a memory foam topper and on top of that, a down mattress cover....makes for a good night's sleep:)..and a down duvet!
The guest or VIP suite
The door on the left leads to the hallway, and the one on right leads to the semi-en-suite.

Inside the Bunk room. Plenty of storage.

I still have to clean up the salon, so those pics will come another day. Been busy, we have!
Time to get some shut eye!
