A Day at Rest on the Tennessee River

I had forgotten that today is Thursday. How easy it is to forget what day it is!

I had also forgotten that I took this sunset photo last night. Those are all discombobulating vapor trails, radiating from the setting sun:) Cool huh!

As for today....
Waz set the alarm..why? on a rest day?? Hmm...his stomach! He had heard that the Marina makes cinnamon rolls for the marina guests, and he was determined to be there at 8am to get one:) Of course this meant I had to go too, right? Right! So, against my MUCH better judgement, we went over for the fresh coffee and the warm and fresh out of the oven, cinnamon rolls...with sugary delight on top.
We ate two each! argggggggggghhhh! but they were good, lol.

Consequently we had no other food for breakfast!!!! The coffee was good too.

We needed to go for a food run, so obtained the use of the marina courtesy car, and went into the local town and Super Walmart, which had an excellent fresh produce section, fortunately.

We had seen two boats off down the river, earlier and we took our time getting ourselves together, after all that sugar and carbs.

We are always grateful for the use of the vehicles at the various Marina that have them.

How did I forget my camera, on this trip?? hmm....I will blame the sugar! how's that!

Not that there was really anything worth taking a photo of.
We are in Tennessee....we took packages to the Post Office down the road, and got those away to NZ, and then to Walmart.
Being just after lunch time, we found a Wendy's and bought some healthy (well kind of ) lunch there.

We arrived back at the boat around 2pm, put the food away, did two loads of laundry and I have spent a few hours catching up with the blog. It is now time for me to make garlic prawns for dinner! yum!

I did have some fun photographing the coming rain clouds, and yes, it did eventually rain. I expect it will continue over the dark hours.

We don't know what the weather will turn out to be tomorrow, so we will make the decision to move down river, tomorrow.
The owners here are great folks and we enjoy them immensely. It is no hardship to stay:)

Ciao for now
