Is it Saturday AGAIN?

My, how the weeks fly by, when we are having so much fun:)

It helps to have goals, always, and we have set a goal for moving on for when the tide is in our favor for getting out of the canal into Charlotte Harbor. This will happen some time around (I say this loosely) the 16th of March, all going well.

The tide is full on that date, in the middle of the afternoon, which will enable us to move out into the Harbor for a night's anchoring before leaving the vicinity for the season. It is approx. 25 miles from where we are to the entrance to Charlotte Harbor, and the ICW. We are going to take our time moving on to the next anchorage...no rush

Well, now it is Sunday afternoon. I hate it when we start something and then get waylaid and ...well, you know how it goes.
Loss of thread here, and I cant think what I was going to write about yesterday. Never mind!

Friday we went looking for a Television. Yep, we made the decision, with the Olympic Games in Sochi, on, that we needed to be able to watch these things. We cant put a large screen on the boat, and we needed a 1080 HDTV with Wifi. Pretty specific...and more $$!

I had advised Waz to find a bracket for wall mounting FIRST, before looking at Tvs. The reason for this was that we had a couple of options of where to mount. The only factor remaining was the accessibility of the various cables and power. In the end, we have mounted it where the original TV was, that should have been on the boat when we bought it, but wasn't. Only exception here is that we now have a wall mounted variety where the old one was cabinet tied-down.

Waz took the old tie downs off the cabinet, with some difficulty, and I have now made a cover for the furniture so that my computer can sit there as well without scratching the cabinet surface.

If the TV was any higher on the wall we would get cricks in our necks! We need the cabinet surface to put other things, so there was no possibility of putting a larger TV in place:( Much to Warren's chagrin, lol.)

We looked at 32inch, but ended up with a 29 inch model instead.
This top of this cabinet is now covered!

Mission accomplished, we sat on the fly deck and ate our lunch before making our way over the bridge to Punta Gorda and the RV Fair. We have not been inside an RV before, and wondered what they were like. No Robyn, we didn't buy one:)

We did like this one...at a price, mind you (of course!) I like the fireplace!!

I am standing right beside the drivers seat, taking this photograph, so this is looking backwards towards the master bedroom with it's walk in closet and master ensuite. Two bathrooms in this!.
It is the deluxe model that was 'on sale' for us $300k...($90 off for the fair!)...Yes, those are real leather seats! (vs many of the other ones had vinyl).
Granite in the Galley too!

Looking forward towards the driving seat.
Lots of 'pop-outs' on both sides of the 'bus'.

Induction cook top...yay!

Fisher and Paykel Dish drawer!!!

Small dining table, but then the 'bus' is only set up for two people, according to the saleswoman. This was the only RV that had a permanent salesperson inside!

We also looked inside the 5th Wheelers...wow! these were something else!!! want to see some photos...???

This tail goes up to create an outside 'deck'. The sides that are now lying from, fort a surround and there is a canopy that electrically comes out of the top of the door...see it?

From inside. You can also drive your motorcycles or smart car into here. On the ceiling are more seats the rachet down the walls to create an outdoor living area or more bunk beds. There was a second toilet in the back of this area. Fantastic!!

This is the galley...there is another whole Living room too!

Loft with two single beds

excellent galley with full sized fridge.freezer!!

full sized bathroom and shower

King sized bed in the master.

TV in the living area

Yes...that is the price!! Mind you, you still have to pay for the F450 diesel truck to pull it with! We are told you can get 12-16 mpg pulling one of these things.lol.

I believe this unit was around 40-45ft long. :)

I think the amenities on the 5th wheeler were superior to those on the single unit RVs.

No, we are not going to own one any time soon. Just curious, is all. Cant own a 55ft boat AND a 45ft 5th wheeler...and a truck...and ...the list goes on!! It just aint gonna happen:)

Well, the sun is out, the temperature is perfect at 76F, and Im going to get myself some lunch and sit in the sun with a book, for a bit. Time to veg out. I havnt been sleeping that well...overactive brain syndrome, Im afraid, so need to just veg out for the rest of the day.

Ciao for now.
