We seem to spend a good part of our days...

...in the car, right now.
We were up early this morning and had high hopes of seeing the pump-out guy bright and early. No such luck, and as I sit here typing at just after 9pm, we are still waiting for a pump-out, this week.
As I said yesterday, how the heck do they NOT come by one day in the week...preferably the same day each week, and pump us out? How hard can it be? Obviously too hard. I texted the contact we have, and asked if the guy was coming, on Thursday, and he said "Tomorrow"..yes, just that! and so tomorrow comes, and 4.56pm arrives and I call the number and ask him to call me back to tell me the pumper guy will be here before 5pm, or at least the end of the day....NO reply!!
To make matters worse, there is nowhere you can contact someone to take responsibility. Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! How frustrating can it be?? Being Saturday tomorrow, do you think a pump-out is imminent?

We had to go by the Stainless Fabricators this morning to pick up the exhaust. We had delivered the two bags of potting mix and other bits and pieces to the neighboring garden job, because we needed to the trunk empty for the large exhaust.
Having discussed with her about what more was needed in the garden, we set forth, after the exhaust pick up, to invade Lowes, yet again. Warren needed a large container of hydrochloric acid from them, so it wasn't all about gardening! I bought a lovely deep red Geranium for the garden and some Pele's Fire Crotons...well, that is what we called them in Hawaii! The ones with the long, skinny, bright hued leaves.
After Lowes we made a stop at Auto Zone for some high temperature silicone sealant for the exhaust which was going back on.

We purchased some plants to replace those that had died, along with some larger pots.
Of course I had to get the camera out to photograph the gorgeous Hibiscus that had just come into the store...

A bee happened by just at the right time!

Stunning, aren't they?

and of course that wasn't the end of it...I hope you aren't sick of looking at flower photos??? Too bad! I never get tired of taking and looking at them:)
Talk about Summer colors. I have to say we rather like living in a place where it is summer almost all year round, with the odd and short cold snap here and there:)

Crotons are always good in the garden.

I love lilies, and these are so soft and pretty. I prefer yellow or dark purple, but these are feminine and sweet.

Kalanchoe is fun and bright for the most part, and these pink 'rose' Kalanchoe are gorgeous!

Bouganvillea is always bright and cheerful. Don't these flowering shrubs make you happy just to look?

I do like this fresh pink/green Bouganvillea, after the blousiness of the yellow and bright pink.

I have been bothered by a tight and hot throat all day and a little body ache, so we didn't do much after lunch, but the idea that I have to take a 'nibble' plate to the event tomorrow (Saturday) was weighing on my mind.

We decided that I would make some mini-quiche, while on the car ride back from Lowes, so a detour to the supermarket for the ingredients was in order.

It wasn't until almost 4pm that I got the energy to make the savories.  I had left the pastry out to thaw and it was now a soft mass, in this 85F heat. Too bad...I had to make these things come hell or high water!

They even look good enough to eat! :)

I had made plenty of mixture for the savories, and I put  all the left over mix in the frying pan to scramble for our dinner. I had earlier made a cole slaw so we had scrambled eggs a la mini quiche and cole slaw for dinner. Not too bad, except that the scambled eggs looked more like something the cat might throw up...cheese was the culprit, Im afraid!

Waz got down and dirty...literally...in the engine room, installing the exhaust. Everything went back together without any problems, and he is happy with the job done.

We have watched some more Olympics while Waz printed some more Boat Cards (business cards for the boat, basically) for tomorrow's gathering...much swearing was involved as our printer doesn't feed the paper in straight so we end up wasting half of the cards...grrrrrrrrr!!!

I was brave enough to take a shower on the duck board, tonight. No neighbors were out fishing off their docks, and frankly, too bad if they were!!! They might have fallen off their perches if they had been out watching! lol.
It is so humid tonight, this promises to be a bed clothes off night, and fan on high night.

We will leave the house around 9am tomorrow and travel down Hwy 41 to Cape Coral. It isn't far, as the crow flies, and we haven't been down that way before. Obviously lots of pics coming up:)

Stand by!

Ciao for now...time to sit outside for a bit and get cool again. Not too many bugs outside and the threatened storm has not eventuated!
