Yes, it is THAT time of year....Super Bowl!!!
Never having watched a full game of American Football, this is truly Waz's first!
What can I say?....I don't feel the need to watch, but as there is nowhere else on the boat to sit and write, I will listen to the game and watch the Ads with interest. The huge $$ spent on advertisements during the Super Bowl has always been a matter of curiosity for me. Most of the Ads are not worthy, but occasionally you get one that is a stand-out.
Meanwhile....
Today dawned thick foggy...
It was warm and damp. I was hoping that we wouldn't have a repeat of the past three days...or more. Time to get warm and sunny!
...and guess what happened within the next two hours?? You guessed it!...helped by the photo, of course:)
We took down the curtains on the Starb'd side and back and welcomed the warmth and heat. It got up to 82F today, which was stunning:) A most beautiful day.
I was expecting a better sunset than appeared, but you can't have everything!
Sitting on the seat at the back, the one you can see behind the table where the magazine and cup are...yes, the breakfast spot....we watched the ducks come by and do their organized fishing. I will post the video, and hopefully you will get streamed video.
These funny little ducks work so well together...You can never be sure when they dive, where they will come up again. They are definitely fun to watch!
I haven't written in the past couple of days due to rain. What can you say about the rain? We went out occasionally and did the odd job, picked some things up, like groceries..yes, in the rain....hoping that the rain would stop in time for us to unload both at the car and the boat...and for the most part it did, for all the chores and trips. Lucky!
I don't know how people live in the dark and cold and damp for so much of their year. Looking forward to the sunshine is good for us, but not when it is likely to be 6 months away!
I guess that is why there are so many Canadians and northern Americans in Florida.
This little Cattle Egret was determined not to move from the hood of this car, in the supermarket parking lot. It wasn't raining then, but it started just after we got into the car! Lucky huh?:)
Nothing much to do when the outside looks like this!!!
However, we had to get to the bank to deal with the aftermath of the Fraud issue with my bank accounts. Again, the rain ceased just as we were exiting the car, and as we passed this vehicle, two Schnauzers popped their heads out the window to say hello. Their mom was in the bank, and the male dog, Max, was very friendly, but Emma, the sister, was a bit scared and stuck to her Dad like glue.:) This is Max, in the front, and Emma in back, watching us get into our car. We have always loved Schnauzers and would get a mini if we were ever to settle down!:)
On the way to Target, we came in a side road and past a Furniture store. Having little else to do, we decided to go inside and take a look. WOW! Nice place, although the salespeople kind of clung to us like glue...they are commission only salespersons.:( I guess you never know when someone will buy, even though they are ONLY LOOKING! as we were.
We did find these interesting chairs that were also very comfy. Next life! I like the red one of course!!
I have been invited to Stefies Baby Shower in a week or two, and we wanted to see what she has on her Shower List at Target. This was easy to find, and we went looking at the various items. Of course we found something that ISN'T on the list...how predictable:) But...it is something she and baby will need. I cant tell you here because she reads the blog:) Hi Stef!! Tell you After the shower!
We were planning to go to the Miami Boat Show on the 13th-17th...we will see. It is the largest Boat Show in the World..so they say, and over three locations. There is also, concurrently a Dealer's Boat Show at another location in Miami. Not sure if we will be able to get somewhere to stay, at this late date. I don't really welcome the opportunity to travel Alligator Alley again. It is a LONGGGG way!
So, that is our life, right now. A little bit boring. Waz continues to do little jobs, and we do things like laundry and cook, and eat and sleep...and get up late. Sometimes VERY late, lol.
Right now the Seattle Seahawks are winning 22/0 to the Denver Broncos! GO Seahawks!! Stefie is from Seattle, so we have to cheer them on!!!
Off to watch the end of the Bowl...take care, all. Hopefully something exciting will happen this week and I can blog about it!
Ciao for now.
