As we have Deep blue/green leather upholstery on the opposite sofa, the idea is to cover the chairs in something that will wear well, be modern but not toooo modern and kind of traditional at the same time. I was all for the bright green with brown fuzzy leopard spots, but Waz vetoed that one in favor of the one here. It is a variety of blue greys, pistachio, cream and tan. it looks great with the cream curtains (which we will wash and keep for the short term), the cream carpet and the opposing sofa. The pattern is not too large as to be overwhelming, it isnt nasty busy and will jazz the place up a bit.we hope. I realize this may look totally yuk to very many of you, but you would have to see it in the flesh. Yes, you might still think so, even then! This is all subjective:)
This is the magazine rack...and there were more on the other side. I would muchly have appreciated an armchair in which to browse...and perhaps a cuppa while I didi it???
...and of course, another incentive is the sale price. the fabric (54" wide) is now only $20 per yard.
Rows and rows and rolls and rolls of furnishing fabrics! You should see the rows and rows of quilting and dress fabrics!
Driving past the road we turn onto to go around behind the Space Center to Bay Area Blvd. You can see Clear Lake, and the Clear lake water tower in the distance.
Coming home, I decided to record the mundane, and what I see when I drive most places along this very route. This is along NASA Parkway, right past the Lindon B. Johnson Space Center.
Hooters is just around the corner, and definitely within walking distance if we felt so inclined. Tin Pelicans are de rigeur, around here...
This is the parking lot next to Hooters. I wanted to show the Pilons that cut a swath through the area. They are not a pretty sight.
This photo shows the lead up to the Kemah Bridge, with the pilons alongside, through the water
This is what I see when stopped at the lights waiting to turn right onto Hwy 146, coming off the NASA parkway...Got to love those Texas flags!!!
One of the neighbors dropped in to say hello...
