Owies

I'm not sure how to explain this, but will have a good crack at it.

The steps on the boat are tall in risers...ie height. The treads, the thingsyou put your feet on are not usual depth, because in a boat there isnt the same space to steps and stairs as there is in a house.
this means that if you go down the stairs/steps front ways, as you would in a house, the tread is shorter than your foot (unless you are a pygmy (apologies to pygmies!)). This makes going down stairs slight treacherous. Added to this are the metal..yes, metal oblong thingys that hold the safety stair lights, which Waz has just installed all red LED's into. Some of the were white, which affects your night vision, and this is a safety issue.
I mentioned that the ankles have suffered from us attempting to go down the stairs feet forward...well, it's the HEELS that have suffered, actually... I have photographed the offending stairs here...
Take a closer look at the top light. The bottom two have felt over the top of the metal for protection of feet...Waz removed the top one coz it was coming off anyway, and we bought new felt for it at JoAnn's yesterday, but not before both of us have damaged ourselves on this one light..it is VERY sharp.
Up close...and looking straight down on it..see those corners..???

This is four days on...so almost healed (ha!) but not in a great place for wearing shoes.
Lovely carpet!!:)

Ok! So how am I supposed to take a good photo of my heel?
