Port Charlotte Boat Show

Sunset!!

...and...more Sunset!!

Ok~! enough sunsets:)

Lets talk about what happened today!!

Mess!..or should I say, MORE mess. Nah! not really, just Waz completing the installation of the new Depth Sounder. It isn't complete yet coz we still need the liquid that goes into the transducer pot:) That is in the works. The rest is all done.

 Pulling the wires...

and then.....the Port Charlotte Boat Show.

Bear in mind that this isn't on the water. It is a dry land kind of Boat Show, lol.

It has been a gorgeous day, and even got up to 69F. Cool breeze, but warm in the sun and out of the wind.
Now, for the Hibiscus Coast Guard folks...Karen!!!...here is a series of Photos that Waz made me take for you:) He fell in love with this boat:)

Note the prop. guards!!! (as if you could miss them!)

TaDA!

The reason for all the photos is that he thinks the HBCG would benefit from such a boat...independent suspension on the whole crew cabin/capsule.

The throttles in the middle of the two pilot sears

Suspension!

FLIR

Pretty darned fancy!

I wouldn't say that this Boat Show was exactly 'eagerly' anticipated, but we did know it was coming and planned to attend.

We did two loads of laundry before leaving the boat after a quick lunch, with the third load in the washer still. We planned to go this morning, but we had other things to do.
We arrived before 1.30 and spent a couple of hours at the show. Fascinated by the different boats...fishing, mostly, but many Pontoon boats, day trippers and some overnighters.
The prices on some of the boats were a bit horrendous, but some of the smaller craft were what we thought might we reasonable.

Here is a small selection, along with some pricing and other highlights.

This one was a bit pricey!!

 Interesting!!! Pontoon Boat.:)

Well priced?

The White Yamaha Engines are a variation on the normal Black variety.

Ok, enough boats....I had to take some photos of these Lobster Buoys which begged to be photographed:)

This baby called Bailey loved having some attention and I was allowed to take a photo:)

And...this bike looked like it needed a rider!

Walking back to the car we were looking at where all the vehicles were from. We thought we should photograph all the number plates...Wisconsin, Virginia, Ohio, New York, Montreal, Ontario, etc etc.
Just as many from everywhere else as there were from Florida!

We have just finished watching some of our fav. TV shows online (no TV yet...yet!) and then a Skype with my brother for the first time:) Yaya! he has joined us in the skpye world. Nice to have the face to face with him, Thanks David.

...and so good night!

  2. Yes, that's what Waz thought too, Karen. He wasn't the only one rather enamored of the thing:)
