The pump-out saga continues.

We were up bright and early this morning...around 7am because we knew the pump-out guy would be here before 8. We had been told that if the truck had not arrived by 8, then we were to call the command center and they would check things out for us.
One of the things I hate about Central Booking agencies is that things get lost in translation somewhere along the line.
My worst fears were realized...and how did I know this would happen??? the booking lady up north couldn't find a 'category' to book us under, so it appears she checked the box that said RV..meaning, Recreational Vehicle.

The truck arrived just after 7.30am to the right address, but when he called us 20 mins. out, he found out that we are not an RV and his 15...yes, 15 feet of hose would not do the job. We had talked to the local man yesterday who assured us that he had a 50..yes, 50 foot hose and that should do the job if we turned the boat.

So, somewhere along the line, 50 got turned into 15! how predictable, lol.

Being the nice person he is, our fellow has agreed to come back tomorrow morning with a mate who has extension hoses, and that should do the job. I love it when people on the ground can be inventive and resourceful, don't you?

When we woke this morning, Warren emitted an expletive, upon looking out the porthole in the bedroom...the yacht opposite was sitting on the bottom of the canal, such was the low tide. No chance of us turning the boat this morning, or we would be in serious trouble. Another expletive came when we went upstairs and looked up the canal to see what had been submerged poles, sticking out of the water at this very low tide. That was the exact place we had turned the boat to come into dock on Friday, last! aieeeeeeeee! Just as well we didnt hit any of them. I wonder if Len even knows they are there?

There will be a half high tide at around 2pm today, so we will attempt to turn the boat then. Len is working from home today, so we will enlist his help to do so. I will keep you posted as to how the rest of the story goes:)

Time for a shower, being 9am, and I have to vacuum and busy myself to keep warm, this morning. It was 66F In the salon when we arose, and 58F outside...I put the clock/thermometer outside for half an hour to find out!!! A wee bit cooler than previous days!!! Well, I actually like it:) but don't tell anyone around here.
Ciao for now.
